The String Ensemble (Chamber Strings and String Orchestra 1-2-3) is the performance ensemble for string players (violin, viola, 'cello, contrabass) at NVOT. Made up of string players in grades 9-12, this ensemble performs at four campus concerts per year. In addition, members are invited to participate in the annual spring festival weekend trip. The String Ensemble is traveling to Orlando, FL for the 2009 Disney Music Festival, March 25-29..

Students in this ensemble are also eligible to participate in Jazz Band (by audition), honor ensembles (by audition: County, Region, & All-State), chamber ensembles, and Musical Theater Pit Orchestra.
