Scroll down to find your ensemble information. Please check the various ensembles for application/deadline info, and results. Application deadlines are not negotiable!

Bergen County Band

  • To apply, return these three items to Mr. Ebersole by November 9, 2009:
    • BCB application, completed and signed by student & parent; this is TWO pages. (Type directly on the application, then print; submit both pages to me.)
    • NVOT permission slip (page 2 of this info sheet), completed and signed by student & parent
    • $5 cash (cash only!)
  • Click here for the audition requirements, including specific scales and solos. The required percussion solos can be downloaded from the MEBCI HS Festival webpage.
  • Auditions are Auditions: Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Paramus High School, Paramus. The one-way bus will take you to the auditions. You must call for your own individual ride home.
  • Rehearsals/concert are listed on the Bergen County Band info sheet & permission slip
  • Official results of those who qualified - Kimberly Chen, flute; Stephanie Chen, Peter Choi, Harvey Choi, Sam Kim, clarinet; Zach Zahos, alto sax; Sarah Szulecki, horn; Theo Kim, trombone; Nick Russell, euphonium; Brian Lee, tuba.

Region Band

  • To apply, due to Mr. Ebersole by November 10, 2008:
    • Online application, completed online, printed, and signed by student & parent. (Go to page 3, type directly on the application, then print; keep pages 1 & 2 for your information, and submit page 3 to me.)
    • NVOT permission slip, completed online, printed, and signed by student & parent
    • $15 cash (cash only!)
  • Further information concerning audition requirements can be found on the Region website: www.njsma.com
  • Auditions are Saturday, January 9, 2009 (snow date: January 10) at Paramus High School.
  • Rehearsals/concert are listed on the NVOT Region Band Info-Permission Slip
  • Individual audition appointments will be posted outside the Band Room. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to register and get your audition paperwork.
  • Official results of those who qualified: Harvey Choi, clarinet; Sarah Szulecki, horn.

Region Orchestra

  • To apply, due to Mr. Ebersole by November 10, 2008:
    • Online application, completed online, printed, and signed by student & parent. (Go to page 3, type directly on the application, then print; keep pages 1 & 2 for your information, and submit page 3 to me.)
    • NVOT permission slip, completed online, printed, and signed by student & parent

  • Individual audition appointments will be posted outside the Band Room. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to register and get your audition paperwork.
  • Official results of those who qualified: Hannah Rhee, violin; Garam Kim, viola; Catherine Kim, 'cello.

Junior Region Band

  • To apply, due to Mr. Ebersole by December 14, 2009:
    • Online application, completed online, printed, and signed by student & parent (Go to page 3, type directly on the application, then print; keep pages 1 & 2 for your information, and submit page 3 to me.)
    • NVOT permission slip, completed online, printed, and signed by student & parent
    • $15 cash (cash only!)
  • Auditions are Saturday, February 6, 2009 (snow date: February 8) at Clifton High School (not Paramus!)
  • Rehearsals/concert are listed on the Jr. Region Band Info-Permission Slip
  • Further information (scale and solo requirements, etc.) can be found on the Region website: www.njsma.com
  • Individual audition appointments will be posted outside the Band Room. Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to register and get your audition paperwork.
  • Official results of those who qualified: Dan-A Kim, flute; Brian Kang & Sam Kim, clarinet; Albert Choi, alto saxophone; Michael Baek, trumpet; Chris deLescinskis, percussion.

2010 All-State Orchestra

  • Students who qualify for 2010 Region Orchestra (strings) will be mailed applications.
  • Winds/percussion will be selected at the 2010 All-State Band auditions.
  • Due date for completed applications returned to Mr. Ebersole is Feburary 15.
  • String auditions are Saturday, March 20, 2010
  • Audition fee (cash) will be collected at auditions.
  • Rehearsals/concert are listed on the Region Orchestra handout.
  • Official results of those who qualified: Catherine Kim, 'cello.

2009 All-State Orchestra

  • Students who qualify for 2009 Region Orchestra (strings) will be mailed applications.
  • Winds/percussion will be selected at the 2009 All-State Band auditions.

  • Official results of those who qualified: Anthony Kim, bassoon; Sarah Rhee, violin; Minjeung Kim, violin; Michelle Lee, viola; Andy Park, 'cello; Catherine Kim, 'cello.
